Sci-fi, horror movies or Beach boys, what they’ll be without Theremin?
Theremin is a first synthesizer ever, built by a Russian inventor Leon guess who… Theremin . Thou first synthesizer there is nothing of that kind since now. Almost 100 years pass and the Theremin is still unique rare instrument.
I’m a Theremin lover, just like many others bewitched by its simplicity that makes the instrument so hard to be played in the western scale, but impressively creative in many other ways. There are only few people in the world who are able to master Theremin. Luckily one of them lives nearby Prague, in Vienna. Pamelia Kurstin is one of the best Theremin player in the whole rounded world. She is able masters it in the orchestral heights and still open minded to play noise gigs of any sort. She is actually virtuous noizer :)
Thanks to many circumstances she’ll have a week long Theremin workshop where she will teach Theremin. Workshop is worthy for absolute beginners as well as absolute mad virtuosos who would like to be the best Theremin players of all.

Here is the surprise. It might not surprise you but I’m ;)
I have thought of it for long long time, and wasn’t able to figure it out on which occasion to invite her. Now the right event is here, and guess what? Pamelia even agreed to come and play for us.
Those who do not read thes page regularily might not know who she is.
It’s easy. Pamelia Kurstin is the world best Theremin player ever.
She is well classical music educated so she can play even the classical gigs ..”Wowww” .. “don’t interrupt me“, she plays the most sad and touchy tones you cannot even imagine if you don’t have the experience sitting in front of her in place filled up be vibration so the whole room is fueled with thick heavy air so you can hardly breathe and your eyes are near to cry.
Here are few links so you might check out what the hell I’m rhapsodizing here.

I’m so delighted. It has been long long time I had born then played bass guitar hated frets, still cannot find a way how to play, then found an airbrush and its way of air…then there was a delay, some brain measure period and now, FINALLY have the air instrument Theremin, the Loop machine just sits on my table, Voice Box on the way and Pamelia Kurstin recording for free, wow. This all happened in the click of eons slightly transforming the pitch of the Internet waves into voice like sound kinda melancholic as we all are.
Thanks to http://www.radioopensource.org where you can listen the whole Theremin story performed by the best Thereminist Pamelia Kurstin…
